These charts were designed for the electric modeller to quickly find the right balance between capacity and weight. At a glance, you can select the right battery pack according to the capacity/weight ratio. The highest power to weight batteries are on the top and a handy guide is provided for the weight of 6, 7 & 8 cell packs made up of the corresponding batteries. Please note that actual battery packs would be heavier due to wires, connectors and other materials used in the construction of the packs. It also allows you to compare NiCad vs NiMH batteries purely on capacity and weight aspects. If you are into RC modelling, we recommend the HP series (in red) for speed 400 and above motors. Our HP cells can produce extreme currents with little voltage drop. Our A2000HP has been tested by modellers to produce in excess of 20amps and providing close to their rated capacities even at high discharge rates. The recommended discharge levels on the specification sheets are based on achieving the rated number of charge/discharge cycles. The cells can output substantially more current but at a cost to the number of charge/discharge cycles.
